Security Practice Lead - £85,000 to £100,000 – South East (Multi-Site) – Hybrid
FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a leading UK Managed Service Provider (MSP) to assist with their recruitment of a Security Practice Lead to be based from one of their South East offices on a hybrid basis.
The successful candidate will assist in building and improving the security services capability, while defining and developing their security service portfolio and delivering those services to end clients.
Responsibilities include:
Security Portfolio Development
- Support the definition and development of Security Services portfolio: MDR, SIEM, Identity, Compliance, and AI SOC
- Help productise security services with clearly defined scope, SLA, and pricing
- Contribute to the security attach strategy
- Assist in developing Security+ and compliance offerings within the Modern Workplace and Cloud tiers
- Keep the portfolio current and recommend service enhancements
Service Delivery & Automation
- Lead the delivery of managed security services to end clients
- Contribute to the development of standardised security delivery processes
- Identify opportunities to improve automation within security workflows
- Support onboarding of new security customers
Sales and Pre-Sales Support
- Work with the sales team to support security led opportunities
- Lead technical discovery and scoping conversations
- Produce and present solution designs, security assessments, and proposals
- Support bid and tender responses where security expertise is required
- Develop sales enablement materials
Technical
- Act as a senior technical voice on security across delivery, sales, and client engagements
- Provide guidance and support to the delivery team on security incidents and escalations
- Maintain working relationships with key vendors including Microsoft (Sentinel, Defender) and Tenable
Requirements:
- Proven experience designing and delivering managed security services in an MSP or MSSP environment
- Strong hands-on expertise across MDR, SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel preferred), Identity, and endpoint security
- Experience with vulnerability management tooling — Tenable or equivalent — and understanding of remediation workflows
Desirable:
- Experience with HaloPSA or similar PSA platforms and workflow automation
- Microsoft Security certifications (SC-200, SC-300, SC-400 or equivalent)
- Experience with automation scripting and integrating security tooling via API or workflow platforms
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks: ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST, or DORA
- Background in mid-market UK organisations or regulated sectors (Legal, Finance, Public Sector)
